Preschool Newsletter - January, 2008
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope everyone had a happy and, of course, a healthy vacation. A lot of changes have taken place over the holiday break. Winter is finally here; (even though it has felt like winter for a long time) we are in a new month and a new year. So far no one has slipped up except for Mrs. Leary! We have a lot of exciting things we’ll be doing in the coming months. We will be learning about our 5 senses with some new songs and games. Please ask your child what sense they learned for the day!
A Warm Welcome
We would like to send a warm welcome to our new friends, Abryanna, Bailey, Charlie and Jack. The children were very helpful to our new classmates explaining our classroom rules and showing them where they needed to go! They all set great examples and we are very proud of them!!
Reminders
- Check your child’s back pack daily for class work and important school information.
- Please keep all toys at home so we avoid hurt feelings and disputes.
- Send in a family photo for our family tree if you haven’t done so already.
Outdoor Play
Send in snow pants, boots, mittens, and hat daily. Whenever the weather is warm enough we will go outside. And please label all clothing items with your child’s name to prevent any uncertainty (esp. coats)!
Please Remember
Open communication between parent and teacher is essential. Feel free to contact us with any comments, questions or concerns.
Birthday Celebrations
Parents bringing in a birthday treat should coordinate this with one of the preschool teachers a week in advance. This will give the parents of children with allergies time to plan ahead.
